Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American advisor to the political process, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. A member of Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011), spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 until 2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she worked on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then named deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until the year 2006. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 13. Her appointment at the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House on May 30th in 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she remained there until the closing of the Obama presidency.
